HMZ Award 2021

The HMZ Award - The PhD team challenge for the year 2021 goes to

Irina Glas (UZH), Liviana Klein (ETH Zurich) and Aline Schaub (EPFL)

for their project «Infectivity of influenza viruses in expiratory aerosols under ambient temperature and humidities (IVEA)».

The HMZ jury selected this project as the winner among the applications because the collaboration was judged to be particularly synergistic, diverse and highly interdisciplinary. Additionally, the project is extremely timely in the time of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

In 2021, the award was made possible by a private donation from Dr. Dähler.
